The buyer pays through Dela and the payment is secured by Stripe, a regulated global payments provider. The seller isn't paid until the buyer confirms the item is all good.
That means neither side has to go first on trust. The buyer's payment can't disappear before the item shows up, and the seller can see the payment is real before they part with the item. It works the same way whether the item is posted or handed over in person.
Stripe processes every payment on Dela, which is what lets us reduce fraud and keep both sides safe.
