How Does Delivery Work?

The Platform supports three delivery methods:

(a) Dela Shipping

1. The Buyer selects a preferred courier option provided by the Platform and pays for the shipping as part of the Final Price.
2. The Buyer receives a tracking number, and the Seller is issued with a printable shipping label.
3. The Seller ships the Item and the tracking number is automatically captured by the Platform.
4. Both the Buyer and the Seller receive automatic tracking updates through the Platform as per the tracking number.

(b) Own Shipping, where agreed between the parties

1. The Buyer and Seller agree that the Seller will arrange and pay for shipping outside of the Platform (e.g. may be factored into the item price)
2. The Buyer selects the "Own Shipping" option.
3. After payment of the item by the Buyer, the Seller is then prompted to select a courier option from the drop-down menu provided.
4. The Seller must choose the courier's name they used from the list provided and enter the tracking number.
5. Tracking updates are generated within the Platform using the tracking number.

(c) Handover, where the Buyer and Seller meet in person

1. The Buyer and Seller agree to exchange the Item in person, so there is no postage and no tracking number.
2. The Buyer selects the "Handover" option and pays for the item through the Platform.
3. The Buyer is issued with a unique handover code in the app.
4. At the meet up, the Buyer provides the code to the Seller, who enters it in the app to confirm the Item has been handed over.

Regardless of the method selected, the Buyer will have 24 hours from the time the Item has been delivered, or from the time the handover code is entered, to accept or reject the Item. If no action is taken within that time frame, the Platform will automatically deem the Item as accepted, and the Seller will be paid.

Handover deals are automatically cancelled after 14 days if the handover has not been confirmed. Shipping deals are automatically cancelled after 7 days if no courier booked or tracking ID entered.
